As the description would have suggested, this blog continues from what we used to call “catatan hidup” that we loved to write before.. It started 10 years ago in 1998 where two groups of friends (1 group in MD, another group in AS) exchanged catatan hidup in so-called “green book” .. More like shared-diary lah.. then one day, when the green book was returned back to AS-group, the MD group started new journal called “ The Blue Book” yeah yeah it wasn’t creative because the book was indeed blue hehehe…
That “Blue Book” was a blast!! It was co-authored by 4 friends, living their lives in MD hostel, fighting for A-level and growing up to adulthood.. I love every moment contributing to it.. and I love every moment when I read it.. After A-level, when we seldom saw each other and all “catatan hidup” were just exchanged via telephone.. (masa atu email and mobile phone alum pames yo!!!). Mcm boring lah… So exactly 1st Dec 1998 I started another journal called “Sexy Brown”… Sexy brown is mostly our life journey post A-level exam.. Some took part-time job in KKK, some just helping out at home.. The moment waiting for results, the moment where my friends re-took A-level.. Pokoknya.. “Sexy Brown” is collection of friends & families “catatan hidup” from Dec 1998 – June 1999 which I wrote on daily basis.. My hubby and I read “Sexy Brown” recently (not really recent), and oh my… so cali... I have a blast explaining the reasons behind every stories to my hubby. You can find famous quotes, funny stories, dramatic stories, break-up/made-up stories.. mcm2 ada… pokoknya “laser lagi sensasi” buku atu..
Then in June 1999, I was “deported” to Spore. My 1st year in Spore was a struggle.. Struggled to make new friends, struggled to adjust, struggled to cope with study.. So after spending 1 year of “not-so-great” life, I started “Yellow Andalusia” book.. Yellow because the book is yellow (duh!!) Andalusia is Anak Dara Lanjut Usia.. At that time, I really believed that I’ll be Andalusia because of my boring, pathetic life.. Yellow Andalusia is more like my life-savior, my pembakar semangat when I felt friend-less in Spore. Even now when I read this journal, I can’t believe how low was my moral back then and how I bounced back to who I am right now.
Fast-forward to future, I graduated, I came back to Brunei in June 2003, unemployed, jadi kutu lepak, met my hubby (he’s my sister’s friend), I got a job in Seria in Oct 2003, then exactly 1st Dec 2003 berboipren with my hubby, then 1st Dec 2005 bertunang with my hubby, then 1st Dec 2006 nikah with my hubby.. 2 years down the marriage road, no documentation, no journal, no diary yet.. YG ada bunch of pictures, bunch of memories.. So here it is.. another new effort to document my life.. blog equal to diary and diary equal to blog.. hmm.. serupa tapi tak sama.. Although pakai buku is more creative that pakai blog, but we’ll see how it goes…
